Threads Reaps 175 Million Monthly Live Users

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a post on his own Threads platform, which competes with Musk's X (Twitter), that it has more than 175 million monthly active users.

Threads will celebrate its one-year anniversary on July 5th. A year later, Threads is still growing steadily, though not at the same rate as when it was first launched. A Meta employee revealed that most of Threads' growth continues to come from internal Instagram promotions, with the two apps sharing the same account system.

For now, Threads is still losing money financially, and Meta executives are considering introducing an advertising system on Threads "sometime next year."
